STEP 9 – THE CAKE

THE WEDDING CAKE itself is so important—and not just as a delicious, elaborate dessert, but also (perhaps especially) as a beautiful wedding decoration in itself.

There are many different styles of cakes to choose from, as well as a variety of flavors and fillings. Do you prefer a traditional frosting, or are you willing to step outside the normal cake conformity and go with something a bit more unconventional?
 
You can incorporate Essential Oils into the cake, the frosting, and even the filling of your bridal cake. There is no doubt that your baker has experience with all types of flavorings and frostings, so why not ask him to add a few drops of Essential Oils for an even more flavorful experience?

Here are some suggestions:
 
• FONDANT is a popular choice for cakes, and it comes in all types of flavors and colors. And Essential Oils can be added to fondant during the kneading and rolling process.

• You can add Essential Oils during the decorating or piping process for an added flavor bonus. Flavor combinations such as raspberry filling with Lemon Essential Oil added can bring a refreshing twist to a classic favorite.

• Wild Orange
• Tangerine

• Lime

• Peppermint
• Spearmint

TIP: With all recipes, including those on the previous Step, be sure to try them out BEFORE the Wedding Day, to make sure everything turns out the way you want it.
